Keeping tabs on why we love travel

I’ve had what I would call writers block for months, not for lack of ability to travel or to write about my pat experiences, because I’ve been having some amazing times lately but it somehow has lost its interest. I got a job working with an airline which means I’m flying pretty much constantly, and being given the opportunity to travel both within Canada and around the world and I’m getting paid for it and very often given quite a bit of time to spend in places which I've never visited before.

So, isn’t that exactly what I’ve always wanted? I guess it all just happened so suddenly I never realized that I should take advantage of this time and really enjoy the cultures that are being presented to me and all the new places I’m setting foot in. I find it to be a little bit difficult because anytime I used to have layovers I would want to explore more than anything and now if I’m with crew that wants to do you things on layover it never involves actually experiencing anything culturally enhancing or even architectural sites which I do enjoy visiting typically. I feel like starting this job has made travelling more of a list, constantly checking off new places you’ve been but not actually experiencing them which is what I used to really do so I’ve decided to start writing again to help broaden my view of what it means To constantly be traveling, instead of taking it for granted I really want to immerse myself in each experience which I think will help me to enjoy what I’m doing a little bit more each time I fly.
I’ll flashback on a couple experiences that I’ve had so far that I’ve had since changing my lifestyle will be coming soon, because I feel like there’s something missing to really complete how I’m feeling about changing my life to be flight crew. This is something I never saw myself doing but I think that I could really take advantage of the experiences that are presented to me, and hopefully I can share them and still give some insight about how travel can really be part of your every day life, after all I did turn my obsession in to a career, now I’m just going to get back to my hobby of writing about it.
